CERTIFER has been awarded by SNCF Réseau for AsBo, NoBo and DeBo missions in the framework of the deployment of the new ARGOS solution
Launched by SNCF Réseau in 2018, ARGOS is an innovation partnership for the renewal and digitalisation of computerised signal boxes. The development of this technology is supported by Alstom, Thales and Hitachi Rail STS.
The general objectives of this operation are: to regenerate the signalling and telecommunications installations with the new ARGOS and digital block technology system, to simplify the installations while maintaining at least an equivalent level of operation and allowing maintenance costs to be reduced, and to anticipate possible future operations such as the deployment of ETCS level 3.
CERTIFER will be involved in this project as Notified Body (NoBo), Designated Body (DeBo) and Assessment Body (AsBo). As NoBo, CERTIFER will assess the conformity of the deployed system with the Control-Command-Signalling (CCS) Technical Specification for Interoperability (TSI). As DeBo, we will assess compliance with national rules. Finally, our task as AsBo will be to assess the safety management processes and their application.
