CERTIFER has been chosen to be the safety certification entity for the innovative People Mover project that will connect São Paulo Airport (GRU) to nearby train station
GRU Airport will have a 100% automated solution for the connection between its terminals and Companhia Paulista de Trens Metropolitanos (CPTM). Through a sustainable and safe system, with Aeromovel Technology, GRU Airport will bring a higher quality of service to its users and easier access to the terminals.
The system will operate on an elevated track and will have stations at the three terminals of the airport and next to CPTM, where it will connect passengers to line 13 of the train. It will be 2,731 metres long and will consist of 3 vehicles with a capacity of 200 passengers each. The vehicles are designed to provide maximum comfort to passengers, equipped with air conditioning, wifi, ambient sound and an information panel connected to the Airport.
With the capacity to transport 2,000 passengers per hour in each direction, the travel and waiting time will be 6 minutes. The Aeromovel System will bring greater operational efficiency to GRU Airport and greater comfort and safety for passengers. The APM at GRU Airport will feature Brazilian technology and the certainty of a safe and sustainable solution, which places Brazil and Guarulhos Airport at the forefront of global mobility.
First of its kind, with pneumatic propulsion, this new technology is totally developed locally. In order to achieve its objectives, within a tight schedule and with the desired level of safety, the AEROM Consortium decided to rely on CERTIFER due to our extensive experience in innovative projects.
