CERTIFER Türkiye has recently been awarded a major non-destructive testing (NDT) contract for the ultrasonic inspection of several thousand railway wheels and axles of 900 freight wagons in Turkey.

Certifer Türkiye has combined its expertise in the railway sector and 20 years of NDT expertise to offer the only NDT inspection service dedicated to the railway sector. Our experienced NDT experts are familiar with the requirements of NDT and Railways and are qualified from Level I to Level III.

As part of the TCDD Taşımacılık A.Ş. (Turkish Railway Operator) and Private sector owned 900 freight wagons’ maintenance contracts awarded to Moskino and Tasco Rail, Certifer performs NDT inspections of wheels and axles. Inspections of 6,800 wheel units and 3,400 axles are carried out using the ultrasonic testing method (UT) under our EN 17020A NDT accreditation.

Given the importance of the service provided by the main stakeholders and the willingness to ensure the safety, reliability, sustainability and quality of the railway equipment, products and systems, the NDT activity should performed by an independent and accredited inspection body.
