CERTIFER SA and AEbt Certifer have been selected as NoBo, AsBo and DeBo for the assessment of the first Alstom’s Coradia Polyvalent cross-border regional train, which just started approval and certification tests in Germany

Designed and assembled at the Alstom Reichshoffen site in the east of France, the first Regiolis France-Germany cross-border train left the Alstom Reichshoffen site on 12 May for the DB Systemtechnik test centre in Minden (Germany), where it will undergo its first approval and certification tests. This certification process will last two years. Testing on the German commercial network will start in spring 2022.

Certifer and AEbt Certifer have been chosen by SNCF to assess the German cross-border Regiolis as DeBo Germany and France as well as AsBo and NoBo by Alstom. Our main mission will be to assess the approval and certification documentation to ensure that the results comply with European railway standards.

This train is the first of the 30 Coradia polyvalent cross-border regional trains ordered in 2019 by SNCF and the Grand Est region for Alstom. These 4-car trains will run at 160 km/h and will serve the Saarland, Rhineland-Palatinate and Baden-Württemberg.
