CERTIFER ITALIA has been awarded a new contract from STADLER for the authorization of the new DMU type ADeS, which will run in the Sardinia narrow gauge railway network in Italy.

Stadler supply to ARST (Azienda Regionale Sarda Trasporti), the regional operator of Sardinia a fleet of 6 diesel multiple-units with maximum speed 100 km/h with high comfortable capacity, including PRM area, universal toilet, bicycle’s transport. The framework agreement between STADLER and ARST also includes an optional phase for the supply of 9 additional DMU ADeS.

These trains will be part of Sardinia regional operator's (ARST) fleet and will be used on the line departing from Monserrato (Cagliari). These diesel-electric trains will be composed of 2 cars and equipped with SCMT signalling safety system.

In the framework of this contract, STADLER selected CERTIFER Italia as OIF (Organismo Indipendente Ferroviario – Independent Railway Assessor), CSM Assessment Body, Testing Authority and Lab responsible.
