CERTIFER delivered the « Entity in Charge of Maintenance” (ECM) certification to the SNCB in Belgium for all its workshops encompassing the maintenance of passenger and freight rolling stock

As the ECM Regulation (EU) 2019/779 now requires the certification of ECMs for all types of rail vehicles, our Belgian team proceeded in November and December 2020 to renew and extend these certifications to all SNCB workshops (central workshops, traction workshops, maintenance stations and technical maintenance stations), i.e. 32 entities spread over 28 sites throughout Belgium, and to cover the entire vehicle fleet (locomotives, motor coaches and passenger coaches, etc.).

This mission lasted 15 days of on-site auditing and marks once again the trust that SNCB places in CERTIFER, which had already certified a few years ago some engineering services of SNCB Technics as Entity in charge of maintenance (ECM) of freight wagons, as well as 4 workshops ensuring the maintenance of these wagons.
