BELGORAIL has been selected as AsBo and DeBo by CAF for the tests of the Northern and Transpennine rolling stocks which will be performed on the Spanish network before running in United Kingdom.
Belgorail Spain has been awarded by Construcciones y Auxiliar de Ferrocarriles (CAF) and will carry out a Designated Body and Assessment Body missions. The two different trains CAF NORTHERN AND TRANSPENNINE TRAINS will first be tested in Spain on the ADIF network and then will operate on the English network.
Before the obtaining of the authorizations for running tests on the Spanish network, a test admission file shall be submitted in order to demonstrate that the test campaign will be held in safe conditions. For this CAF has to submit a DeBo report demonstrating compliance with the Spanish national technical requirements in addition to the TSIs. The Northern EMU which operates at speed of up to 160km/h has a fleet of 39 units formed by 3 and 4 cars and the Transpennine is a EMU with 10 units of 5 cars each and operating at speed of up to 200 km /h.
