CERTIFER has been awarded an Independent Safety Assessment mission for the lines D and E of the Réseau Ferroviaire Rapide (RFR) of Tunis

La Société du Réseau Ferroviaire Rapide de Tunis aims to pursue the development of its Rapid Rail Network with the aim of proposing an efficient and safe public transport offer which would constitute a viable alternative to use of private cars, and thus drastically reduce congestion, traffic jams and the associated environmental impact.

CERTIFER's mission will focus on the assessment of lines D and E of this new network. Line D, 11.5 km long, will serve 8 stations that will connect Tunis station to Gobaa station. Line E, 6.4 km long, will serve 6 stations that will connect Tunis station to Bougatfa station. The two lines will share a 266m electrified double-track monotube tunnel.

As part of this mission, CERTIFER will act as an Independent Safety Assessor (ISA) in the field of conventional transport. The objective of this mission will be to assess the safety of the global system during the design, construction, testing and commissioning phases.
