CERTIFER has been selected as Notified Body, Designated Body and Assessment Body by SNCF Mobilités in the framework of the assessment of RER NG, a new generation of rolling stock which will run on lines D and E of the Parisian regional express network.

The RER of the future, designed by Alstom and Bombardier, will be manufactured in their facilities in the North of France in Petite-Forêt (Alstom) and Crespin (Bombardier).

Available in two versions: a short one for the line E of Paris regional express network (simple unit with 6 vehicles) and a long one for the line D of Paris regional express network (7 vehicles), the new generation of rolling stock will be commissioned from 2021 in the Parisian network.

CERTIFER is also the Notified Body for the assessment of the rolling stock and the Notified Body/Independent Safety Assessor for the on-board CCS subsystem.
