CERTIFER has been selected by the Serbian Railway Infrastructure JSC as Notified Body in a consortium led by DB Engineering & Consulting GmbH for the Works Supervision and Support to PIU for Reconstruction and Modernization of Railway line “Niš-Dimitrovgrad” (Serbia)
 
The railway line between Nis and Dimitrovgrad is part of a corridor that links Central Europe to Bulgaria and Turkey through Croatia and Serbia. It is with the aim of improving passenger and freight transportation that this line will undergo major reconstruction and rehabilitation works. It will also allow Serbia to be better connected to the rest of the European Union's rail network. Rehabilitation works will start in 2022 and should be completed in 2025.
 
As Notified Body, CERTIFER’s mission will be to check Technical Specifications for Interoperability (TSIs) conformity of the “designs for execution” and works to ensure the interoperability across the Trans-European network. The other members of the consortium led by DB Engineering & Consulting GmbH are Egis d.o.o. Beograd Vracar, Project Biro UTIBER Ltd. d.o.o. Novi Sad, MC Transport Design & Simulation d.o.o.
