CERTIFER successfully completed the EC certification of First Léman Express Régiolis rolling stocks to be operated on the Franco-Swiss cross-border Léman Express network.
Léman Express rolling stock named LEX is a variant of the Regiolis range of rolling stock manufactured by ALSTOM. The new train sets - scheduled to enter service on the 230km cross-border Léman Express route to Switzerland in mid-December 2019 - obtained their homologation for entry into service from the Swiss Federal Office of Transport.
In the framework of this key cross-border project that will first contribute to a sustainable mode of transportation for the daily cross-border commuters and link Greater Geneva with France, CERTIFER carried out a Notified Body and Swiss Designated Body Assessment of the Rolling stock subsystem for ALSTOM.
The whole Régiolis Leman Express EMUs have been assessed and certified according to Loc&Pass, Noise, PRM, Safety in Railway Tunnels and Control Command and Signalling Technical Specifications of Interoperability (TSI).
After three years of work performed, the Léman Express trains comply with PRM-TSI, Loc&Pass-TSI, Noise-TSI, SRT-TSI and CCS-TSI standards.
CERTIFER was also chosen by SNCF as the French DeBo and AsBo of the French cross-border regional passenger network.
