CERTIFER are glad to be part of Denmark's largest railway project since 60 years: the first high-speed railway line between Copenhagen and Ringsted.
The construction of the 60km double-track and electrified railway line - connecting Copenhagen to Ringsted via Køge station - was decided in 2010. The aim of this project was to provide additional capacity on west of Copenhagen, to improve connections around Zealand and the rest of Denmark and to reduce the journey times for passengers.
Inaugurated on 31 may 2019, the operation of the line designed for 250 km/h began on June 1.
CERTIFER was selected in 2014 by Banedanmark, the Danish rail infrastructure manager, as the Independent Safety Assessor and the Notified Body (NoBo) for the Energy subsystem in the framework of a Danish Electrification Program. CERTIFER achieved a key milestone in this major electrification program by delivering the EC certificate for the Energy subsystem of Copenhagen – Ringsted section in Denmark.
