CERTIFER and SINTEF have been selected by Bane NOR as Notified Body, Independent Safety Assessor and Assessment Body for the ERTMS National Implementation (NI) Project in Norway.

 
CERTIFER and SINTEF have been selected by Bane NOR as Notified Body, Independent Safety Assessor and Assessment Body for the ERTMS National Implementation (NI) Project in Norway.
 
As part of Norwegian resignalling strategy, the ERTMS National Implementation (NI) Project is one of the most significant project aiming to implement the ERTMS level 2 on the entire Norwegian railway network (4.200 km) as some of its signalling systems dating from the 1950’s.
 
 
Bane NOR, the Norwegian National infrastructure manager plans to complete the whole digitalization of the Norwegian Railway Network by 2034.
 
In the framework of this leading project including Traffic Management System, on-board and also trackside signalling system, SINTEF and CERTIFER joined their forces and thanks to a fruitful collaboration have been selected by BaneNOR as NoBo, ISA and AsBo.
 
SINTEF and CERTIFER will carry out three missions:
• A NoBo mission for the verification of interoperability in accordance with technical specifications for interoperability for control command and signalling subsystem
• An ISA mission for the verification of compliance with EN50126, 50128 and 50129
• An AsBo mission for the verification of compliance with common safety methods (CSM-RA)
