CERTIFER: Independent safety assessment of the new MING rolling stock

CERTIFER have been awarded the Independent Safety Assessment of the new rolling stock MING to be manufactured for line B of Parisian mass transit network.

The Île-de-France region launched an important investment program in order to renew and renovate the RER and Transilien network. B line of Paris RER network is a mixed public transport system operated by RATP and SNCF that carries 900,000 passengers per day linking Roissy-Charles de Gaulle Airport and Mitry-Claye with Robinson and St Rémy-les-Chevreuse. The operating MI79 and MI84 trainsets will be replaced from 2025 with new MING sets (Matériel Interconnecté Nouvelle Génération).

CERTIFER are pleased to announce that they will be providing the Organisme Qualifié Agrée (OQA) and Assessment Body Service for SNCF Réseau, SNCF Mobilités and RATP. In this framework, CERTIFER will carry out the ISA of rolling stock and the AsBo mission for infrastructure subsystem as the commissioning of MING will need the adaptation of the existing infrastructure (platforms modifications, embankment reinforcement, energy installations strengthening…).

CERTIFER already provide an ISA service to the MI2N Project for RER A and are pleased to bring their expertise in the area of ISA on Rolling stock and Infrastructure subsystems to the MING Project.
