Project's description

Tangier-Kenitra HSL is designed according to technical standards of European high-speed lines. 183-km long, electrified in 2 x 25kV – 50Hz, the line is designed for a maximum speed of 350kph and to be operated at 320kph at commissioning. The line totals 286 common structures or culverts including 13 viaducts for a total length of 10 km.

The HSL is equipped with computer-based interlocking (PAI-NG type in the Tanger and Kenitra railway stations), track circuits for train detection and ETCS level 2. The project also includes the renewal of the signalling system of Tangier, Kenitra and Sidi Ichou stations and Kenitra/Sidi Yahia line section, equipped with computer-based interlocking (PAI-NG type) in the Tanger and Kenitra railway stations, conventional lateral signalling and ETCS level 1.

Scope of work 

In this context, CERTIFER is carrying out a NoBo service to assess the CCS trackside subsystem's compliance with the Control-Command and Signalling Technical Specification for Interoperability (TSI) and an ISA service to assess the compliance of the CCS subsystem and the CTC with CENELEC standards. The ISA assessment relates to the following safety cases: GASC ETCS 1, GASC ETCS 2, GASC PAI-NG (IXL), SASC PAI-NG (IXL) + Track circuits, SASC ETCS 1, SASC ETCS 2 and CTC.
