Belgorail have been selected by STIB-MIVB for the independent safety assessment of New Tramway Generation in Brussels (Belgium).
After performing several mobility projects' assessments for STIB-MIVB, Brussels Transportation Company, such as the integration of Signaling solutions on:
- lines 3, 7 & 19 in De Wand (Siemens)
- new tram terminal Simonis for line 9 & 19 (Alstom & STIB)
- new workshop/depot in South Brussels (Mobility Vinci)
STIB-MIVB renewed its confidence to BELGORAIL by awarding the Independent Safety Assessment (ISA) contract in the framework of the safe integration of New Tram Generation on Brussels Tramway network.
BELGORAIL will carry out an ISA mission according to CENELEC standards and Common Safety Method regulation 402/2013/EU & 2015/1136/EU for all subsystems:
- rolling stock
- infrastructure
- energy
- control, command & signaling
- operation & maintenance
In view of the feature of Brussels' tramways, which operate in mixed traffic with other vehicles, the scope of BELGORAIL also includes urban integration challenges.
