BELGORAIL SA Branch in Spain have been awarded the EC Interoperability Verification of the Murcia-Almería high-speed section of the Mediterranean corridor. Within the framework agreement established with ADIF, Belgorail SA Branch in Spain, in joint venture with ECA BV, has been awarded the EC verification of the interoperability, design and construction of Murcia-Almería high-speed section, part of the Mediterranean corridor. BELGORAIL will assess the infrastructure, energy and control command and signalling subsystems of the high-speed section. As part of the Mediterranean Railway Corridor, which is the main east-west axis in the The Trans European Network – Transport south the Alps that will cross six European Union countries (Spain, France, Italy, Slovenia, Croatia and Hungary), the Murcia-Almería high-speed line will also connect Almería with the Madrid-Castilla La Mancha-Comunidad Valenciana-Región de Murcia High-Speed Line. With an execution period of 48 months, the actions will be performed between Nonduermas and Almería, with an approximate length of 170 km, 11 stations, 6 tunnels and 43 viaducts.
