Independent Safety Assessor
CERTIFER is an Independent Safety Assessor (ISA) and carries out safety assessments of products according to CENELEC Standards (50126, 50128, 50129, 61508 et 61511) in order to establish SIL certifications : SIL1, SIL2, SIL3 or SIL4.

" ISA " is also more and more used to designate the third part assessment of urban or railway systems. In this domain CERTIFER has a lot of national and international references :
- Metro de Lausanne : depuis 2002 CERTIFER réalise des évaluations sur le système de freinage, et l'automatisme embarqué
- Lausanne metro : since 2002 CERTIFER assesses the brake system and embedded automatisation
- Algiers metro and tram : EMA, the operator has awarded CERTIFER for the assessment of all the sub-systems

- Dublin tram - rolling stock : RPA Dublin chose CERTIFER after an international call for tenders
- Panama metro : transportation system supplied by Alstom will have to be assessed by CERTIFER and its brazilian partner AeS.
- Xi'an and Chengdu metros (China) : CERTIFER has assessed the generical CBTC Ansaldo and its application to these two metro lines.
