Widely recognized standards have been implemented in order to define a context for developing, and using, railway-applied complex systems.

The EN 50126 defines a standardized product development process, that can be applied to any stakeholder acting in the railway sector. The EN 50128 and EN 50129 standards are respectively to software, and hardware, aspects. Each one of those standards define Safety Integrity Levels allowing to developing those products in full compliance with safety expectations.

The main objective of this training is to give the participants a global vision of those standards dedicated to the railway sector, as well as a glance to the industrial methods & techniques to develop railway products according to dependability principles.
