A major railway contract for Certifer in Denmark.
After an international call for tenders, CERTIFER has been awarded the Independent Safety Assessor / Notified Body (ISA / NoBo) contract for the major project Ringsted Fehmarn in Denmark.
The objective of the project is to upgrade the railway line connecting Ringsted and the future fixed link across the Fehmarn Belt, according to the treaty ratified between Denmark and Germany.
The project includes the construction of an additional track alongside the existing track between Vordingborg and a location south of Holeby, where the line connects to the fixed link across Fehmarn Belt.
The railway line will generally become upgraded to 200 km/h for passenger trains, from the current 160 km/h (Ringsted-Vordingborg) and 120 km/h (Vordingborg-Rødby Færge), except through Nykøbing F and across the Guldborgsund where the speed will be upgrade to 120 km/h only.
It is the biggest railway project of CERTIFER outside France.
